Who we are
FreeToolz is a free online tools platform offering calculators, converters, image, text, PDF, OCR and utility tools. Most tools run entirely inside your browser — your files and inputs stay on your device unless a specific tool explicitly says otherwise.
Information we collect
- Information you provide directly — when you contact us, sign in to an admin account, or submit the optional Business QR Code Generator lead form.
- Automatic technical information — IP address, approximate location, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed and timestamps. Used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate analytics.

How we use your information
- Provide, operate and maintain the Site and its tools.

FreeToolz is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled:

We use privacy-conscious, aggregate analytics to understand which pages and tools are used most. We do not build profiles of individual users for marketing purposes.
Business QR Code Generator — optional lead capture
The Business QR Code Generator is free and can be used without an account and without any marketing opt-in. If you choose to tick one of the consent boxes on that tool, we may store the details you submitted (business name, contact person, email, phone/WhatsApp, website, category, social links, QR type and design, consent status/timestamp, page URL, consent text/version, and a minimal IP / user-agent record for consent logging).
- Storage consent lets you return and edit your saved QR/business details.
- Marketing consent allows FreeToolz to email product updates, tips, announcements and promotional messages from FreeToolz itself.
- The two consents are independent.
- We do not sell your data.
- Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You may also email hello@freetoolz.app to withdraw a consent, request access, or request deletion. We honour deletion requests within 30 days.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are: consent (marketing emails, personalized ads where required), legitimate interest (site security, abuse prevention, aggregate analytics, non-personalized ads), and contract / legal obligation (when applicable).
Children
FreeToolz is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.
Your rights
